What it is

Crewmanual is a Chrome extension for home-service offices. Hit record, do the job the way you always do it in ServiceTitan, Jobber, Housecall Pro, JobNimbus, AccuLynx or QuickBooks, and it turns every click into a numbered, illustrated how-to guide. All the guides together become a searchable company manual, with a print-ready handbook and an answer box a new hire can type a question into.

Who it's for

The owner or general manager of a roofing, HVAC, plumbing or electrical shop with somewhere between five and fifty people. One office manager holds the whole back office in their head, and the week they take a vacation or another job, nobody can pull a permit or bill a warranty job.

Why I built it

I have lived that week. Everyone in the trades agrees they should have written procedures, and nobody has an afternoon to screenshot forty screens and write captions. The test I applied to every idea in this space was whether a contractor could already get it free from a chatbot. Rewriting estimate copy, yes. Recording forty clicks across two systems into a guide, no. So that is the product.

How it works

The extension watches the browser while you work and captures a cropped screenshot at each step. A guide comes back already written; fix a word, delete a step, done. Recordings and screenshots stay on the machine that made them. Nothing is uploaded, because every screenshot is a picture of somebody's private customer information and the simplest way to never lose it is to never have it. Recording and exporting individual guides is free without limit. One $99 purchase covers the whole company and unlocks the searchable manual, the branded PDF handbook, and the answer box. Polar handles the payment and issues the licence key.

What's next

The site is up and the extension works in developer mode. The next step is the Chrome Web Store listing, then getting it in front of the first real office.
