What it is

A11y Sweep scans a website for accessibility problems — the kind that fail WCAG, the standard most accessibility law points back to — and explains each one in plain English instead of developer jargon. A free scan checks your homepage and gives you a score and the top issues; $29 unlocks a full report covering up to 50 pages, with a fix written out for every issue found, delivered instantly as a web report and a PDF. It's an automated audit, not legal advice and not a certificate of ADA or WCAG compliance.

Who it's for

Freelance web developers and small agencies who need a client-ready accessibility report without booking a manual audit that can run into the thousands, and small business owners who got an accessibility demand letter and don't know where to start.

Why I built it

Accessibility law is tightening — the European Accessibility Act is already in force, and US ADA rules for state and local government sites are phasing in through 2027 — and demand letters against small businesses over inaccessible sites are common. The free scanners that already exist check one page at a time and stop there; a real human audit runs $500 to $12,500. I wanted something in between: automated, instant, and priced so a small business can actually afford to act on it.

How it works

Paste a URL and A11y Sweep crawls the site with a real headless browser and runs axe-core, the accessibility-testing engine most tools are built on, against every page it finds. The free preview covers your homepage only. Buying unlocks the rest of the site — up to 50 pages — plus an AI pass that rewrites the technical findings into wording a non-developer can act on. There's no account and no login: the full report is unlocked by a token sent in your receipt email.

What's next

It's live, and the scan and checkout both work end to end. I'm holding off on marketing it while I do one more pass on the product, so the next step is getting it in front of real users.
