What it is

ChangePeek watches web pages you care about — a competitor's pricing page, a changelog, a docs page, a job board, a policy page — and checks them on a schedule. When the page's text actually changes, it emails you a plain-English summary of what changed, not just "something changed." Free accounts get a daily check and a plain diff by email; Pro checks more often and gets an AI-written summary instead of the raw diff.

Who it's for

Founders, marketers, product managers, and salespeople who need to keep an eye on a handful of external pages and currently do it by hand, or don't do it at all. If you've bookmarked a competitor's pricing page and then forgotten to check it for three months, this is for you.

Why I built it

Checking a handful of URLs by hand is exactly the kind of chore that's easy to automate and never worth doing manually. I also wanted something cheap to run and priced as recurring revenue, so a free tier could do the work of finding people (Product Hunt, Reddit, Indie Hackers) without a sales process behind it.

How it works

You add the URLs you want watched and sign in with an emailed magic link — no password. On a schedule, ChangePeek fetches each page, pulls out the readable text, and compares it to the last snapshot it stored. If the text has genuinely changed, it stores the change and emails you. The AI summary is gated to Pro and only runs when a real change is detected, so it never spends anything on a boilerplate re-render or an ad rotating in a sidebar; if the summary step ever fails, the email falls back to a plain diff rather than sending nothing.

What's next

It's live and taking real signups. The next real lever, as more people rely on it, is checking pages more often — right now checks run on a fixed schedule chosen to keep costs predictable while it's still finding its first users.
